Marantz Portable Cassette Player Recorder

Marantz Portable Cassette Player Recorder PMD101 - Works without Cassette Tested and all buttons work but when I put a cassette in it, it does not turn. I tried pushing play button slowly and it worked a little bit when play was pushed about 70%. Not sure if there is one of the belts that is off / bad. Battery compartment is clean. Tested with both power cord and batteries and both worked as stated. Does not come with power cord.
