Marantz Pmd201 2 Head Portable Cassette Recorder

It spins but very slowly, fast forward and revers move a bit faster than it should be playing and play CRAWLS something is gummed up inside. The adapter powers up the recorder, the batteries had tons of corrosion and when I put fresh batteries in nothing happened. Some of 5r corrosion seeped into the unit itself and you can hear it rattling, this maybe an easy fix but never I am selling it as is for parts only.
