This is a 1964 Scranton press which has these features as described in the matching discogs listing: "2nd label mono variant pressings (Scranton) have 'ASCAP' after every title except "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (BMI). Black label with colorband. Issued with the first variation jackets with 'Beatles' on cover in tan to brown print. No producer credit on back cover. The number 3 appears bottom right of back cover indicating, Modern Album of Long Island, NY as printer of jacket." And these matrices: Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout stamped): T1-2047-G2" #3 (Scranton triangle) Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout stamped): T2-2047-G4" (Scranton triangle) Most of the ORIGINAL SHRINK remains but it is torn and tattered - see pictures. The edges still have significant wear areas, particularly both bottom corners and the spine where the paper is torn although it may still stop short of a split - see pictures. Still both the front and rear covers have an unusual cleanliness not often seen for this original Beatles LP. LP stored in original blue Capitol inner sleeve, split on bottom only about 2" center. I'll be storing the LP outside the inner sleeve and of course outside the jacket. LP has a good bit of clean shiny vinyl, but also some visible light scratches and scuffs, nothing of the feelable variety but enough there so that I'll visually grade it VG+, no better. R12
