This vintage children's record player is a unique collectible for any Disney fan and comes with a 10" 1958 "Perri" Official Mickey Mouse Club record, original instruction booklet, 2 extra needles (loud), and a record repeater. Featuring Donald Duck, we estimate this electric phonograph to date back to around 1960. Working (see video), in beautiful condition with minor signs of wear, which is rare for its age. We've done quite a bit of research on this piece and cannot find another model/color combination exactly like it, particularly one that comes with these original pieces, which leads us to believe they were either limited in production or the surviving examples are few in number (after all, this is a children's toy). Hinges and latch are in great, functioning condition. It sounds like there may be extra needles rolling around inside of the bottom, but they don't affect functionality. This record player plays both 45 and 78 RPM records. To operate the "Spear-tone magic pop up 45 record adapter," slide the two plastic inserts under the center plastic disc, which will pop up to play 45s. The "Perri" record has some faint visible scratches but doesn't skip. Something interesting we noticed about the record is that the center labels are on the wrong sides. Included:
Donald Duck record player
1958 "Perri" Official Mickey Mouse Club record (10", 78 RPM)
Original instruction booklet
2 extra needles (loud)
Plastic record repeater for 6" and 7" records
The record player measures 13" long x 11" wide x 6" tall when closed. The cord measures 4 feet long. It's manufactured by Spear Products, Inc. Model #220. Made in U.S.A. Will package and ship with extreme care. Don't wait to add this one-of-a-kind piece to your Walt Disney collection to play or display as a conversation piece. Please contact with any questions.
