Voice Of Music record player amp VOM 8810

VOM Voice Of Music model 8810 record player amp. Vintage tube amplifier from the 1950's, not sure but I do know one can use it as a guitar amplifier as well as a record player amplifier. This amp is in working good condition. I am not the original owner so this item comes as is. I had this VOM 8810 professionally inspected and repaired by Audio Repair Specialists in the San Fernando Valley, calibrating it and replacing the old 2 prong power source cable to an earthed/grounded 3 prong power source cable; to prevent any kind of electrical shock. This repair I factored in the value of this rare vintage piece of equipment. It is great for vinyl record aficionados.  It is also safe to use and is very loud and warm sounding as long as one matches the 3ohm impedance output. If one does not match the impedance correctly, one will have to tolerate a slight hum. If one encounters a hum, it is not faulty it only means you did not match the impedance correctly to 3 ohms! It is so vintage that the audio output signal is mono, not stereo. Guitarists tend to like using it as a guitar amp as the circuit board is similar to old guitar amps from that era. However, once again, if one does not match the impedance to 3 ohms correctly, one will experience a 60Hz cycle hum. If one plays guitar in clean, it is hardly noticeable but if you are like me and uses fuzz pedals and records in high definition, you will not be a happy customer. This is how this amp works so please comply to these rules and seek advice or guidance from a vintage record player specialist or electrician of audio equipment before buying. I am selling it as I have no use for it and please forgive me for not being a specialist on this topic. I only know what I have learnt from the repairs at ARS. No returns accepted.
