Vintage Tascam 238 Syncaset Multitrack 8-Track Cassette Recorder. These are the highest end Tascam cassette 8-track decks that they produced, with a servo driven motor, rather than belt driven. I'm a big fan of the 238 model.
Refer to photos for cosmetic condition. Powers on, fast forward and rewind work. Play / Record did not engage. This may be a sign of the well documented 238 servo board fix, but I'm not sure. I do not have time for additional projects right now. Therefore I'm parting with this in as is condition, for parts, no returns.
