Vintage RCA 44A Large Ribbon Microphone

I’m selling my RCA 44A vintage ribbon mic. You probably know that the RCA 44 is the classic ribbon mic, renowned for its warmth and sweet sound. It has a pronounced proximity effect, enhancing the low end the closer it is to the source. It can sound absolutely huge on bass, drum set, anything that produces low frequencies. Its sound is unmistakable.
This one belonged to Glen Glenn Sound studios in Hollywood, as evidenced by the tag on the mic cable (no doubt from servicing at some point). Glen Glenn provided services to over 20,000 films and television shows.
This baby is in good working condition, and has doubtless been used on hundreds of famous productions in the past. Unsurprisingly, it sounds huge.
