This DVD recorder is in GREAT physical condition! It has one light scratch on the top of the case near the front, a few small nicks above the display panel, and a small scuff above the disc eject area. The front of the unit is unblemished. Toshiba's D-R5 gives you smooth, clear DVD playback, as well as convenient recording features. Enjoy a great-looking picture with discs you rent or buy, as well as the ones you record. This recorder can upconvert regular DVD signals to a higher resolution that more closely matches the display capability of today's popular HDTVs. Just hook it up to a TV with a digital video input to enjoy clearer, more detailed video. The recorder allows you to record to DVD-RAM, DVD-R or DVD-RW discs. It also plays for DVD-RAM, DVD-R and DVD-RW as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs with recorded MP3 and WMA files. The D-R5 comes with several outstanding features such Auto-Title/Chapter/Thumbnail creation and Time Slip Recording and Playback. You can now watch a recording that is already in progress or pause Live TV at a certain moment and then watch it later, as if there were no pause. In addition to five levels of recording options, you have access to EASY NAVI menu that updates you with the status of the DVD recorder. 3-2 Pulldown: Your TV can now display video programs originally shot on 24 frames per second, which includes most film-based content.

Auto Title/Chapter/Thumbnail Creation: Manage your video content with the help of a menu that is created when you record. The menu displays the channel and date, as well as a thumbnail of your video content. In addition to assigning a 64-character title, you can also create chapters, either at predetermined intervals or at specific points you determine within your recording.

Preset Recording Modes: Provides you five preset recording quality setting with your choice of bit rates. Depending on your choice, this feature allows you to choose different recording time (1 hr, 2 hr, 3 hr, 4 hr and 6 hr) for DVD discs.

Orders received after 12 Noon EST on Friday will ship on the following Monday. I do not ship on weekends or public holidays.

I am not responsible for transit time. Transit times are provided by the carrier, exclude weekends and holidays, and vary with package origin and destination, particularly during peak periods. I am not responsible for stolen items if the shipper records a confirmed delivery at your address.

Most of my items are used and/or vintage. Due to the age of these units, it is impossible to guarantee working condition for any length of time.
It is YOUR responsibility to read the description and examine the photos before buying. I test and describe every item as accurately as I can, and post many photos, so you can make an informed decision. Returns are not permitted if you change your mind, purchased the wrong item, or can't figure out how use it.
Returns are only permitted for two reasons:
1) you believe the item is not as described/pictured in the listing.
2) the item was damaged in shipping.
If either situation occurs, contact me immediately BEFORE opening an Pricetronic case. You MUST provide photo proof. For shipping damage, I will ask you to follow the shipper’s procedure so that I can obtain a refund for my shipping cost. I will work with you to resolve legitimate situations.
Any item returned for the two reasons listed above MUST be in the original condition as it was when you received it, and include ALL accessories and packaging. It is your responsibility to properly pack and ship the item to avoid damage during return transit.
Refunds are absolutely not provided if you return the recorder with a different internal drive or without a drive at all. I have posted a photo of the internal drive alongside the recorder's serial number to prevent this common fraud. So don't even try it! FEEDBACK
