Operating in the same Texas psychedelic scene as the 13th Floor Elevators, Moving Sidewalks combined trippy vibes with earthy blues-and the tasty guitar licks of a hot young guitarist named Billy Gibbons. Those blues would rise up to dominate the sound of Billy's next band, but what you'll hear here is the only full-length album released by his pre-ZZ Top group, which also featured innovative drummer Dan Mitchell, outstanding keyboardist Tom Moore and the thumping backbeat bass of Don Summers. We partnered with Rock Beat Records to bring you the ultimate edition of this piece of rock 'n' roll history: the complete original 1968 album plus Moving Sidewalks' prized single "99th Floor," presented on a transparent vinyl LP featuring a psychedelic color swirl.
