I'm a long-time audiophile and record collector thinning my substantial personal collection. This mono Monarch copy of The Doors is respectable with only light spindle marks on otherwise clean labels. Under bright light the vinyl shows many light marks and non-feelable scratches. I've personally play graded this record all the way through and rate it VG. After two initial pops at the beginning of Break On Through Side One plays through almost VG+ with only light surface noise between tracks. On Side Two the intro of Back Door Man plays with audible background noise which disappears when the track gets going. End of the Night plays with background noise typical of these pressings but not too bad. The End, unfortunately, has the most noise of any track on the record. There is background noise and several repetitive scratches that sound louder than a tick but softer than a pop, if that makes any sense. However, the all-important "uncensored" section plays cleanly with noise returning through the quiet outro. It's still a good listen as the fidelity on this pressing is excellent. There is sticker residue on the top right corner of the cover where a little of the black surface has peeled away where someone tried to remove it. This record has been ultrasonically cleaned in TergiKleen solution and then rinsed and vacuumed twice with distilled water on a VPI 16.5 for your listening pleasure. I've purchased many over-graded LPs on Pricetronic and know just how frustrating that can be. If my records are priced a little higher than others it's because they're worth it in terms of time and aggravation so buy with confidence! Your record will be shipped in a plastic outer sleeve in a real record mailer, not some cobbled together pieces of cardboard, so you can be sure it will arrive in the condition expected.
