Both CD trays play a disc fine. Dubbing on single and 4x speed (must use "music" cd-r discs) did "work" and complete but resulted in random drop outs on the recorded disc. I don't know if the recording unit could be cleaned/serviced to fix this or not. I didn't try recording from an analog input (tape deck, etc.). I did print out the manual and will include that with the sale.

Selling this as-is since the recording ended up with errors and that's kinda the whole point of this thing.
