PARTS ONLY - the TCM-5000EV "Pressman" cassette recorder was released in 1982 and ended production in 1992. These vintage high end, portable models were used by news, radio broadcasting, journalism reporters due to their advanced recording and playback features. The TCM-5000EV features three heads, an analog 3 digit tape counter, pitch/speed control, built in mic, a VU meter and more.
The unit does not play but does power up with batteries (6V power supply not included). Playback attempts to run (audible sound only) but fast forward and rewind does not. Highly suspect new belts are required to repair. All control knobs including eject button all work fine. The recorder does have cosmetic wear - please review photos carefully as this information is part of the full item description. The unit includes original Sony black leather case.
