Simple lightweight sequencer by Roland. It uses the rare 2.8" QuickDisks (QD) for storage/loading. Easy to use, and requires no learning curve like modern day devices. So if you just need a simple sequencer that you can use and record right away, this will fit the bill. This sat unused for years and when it was used, it was only used lightly and stored away. Over the years, the belt on the floppy drive had disintegrated and had just been refurbished by me with a new belt (see pics) and is fully functional again. A spare belt is also included. FYI this unit uses the Famicom drive that is used in some vintage game consoles as well. It comes with the original manual, MIDI implementation chart, power supply, and 27 QD disks. Most of the disks have sequences stored in them, 6 of them are from the official Roland ISM library. However, none of them seem to load anymore probably due to reduced magnetic retention of the original data, so they can be just reused as blank disks. However, if you wish to try and recover the data from those disks, there are services that might be able to do recovery on them, especially the ones that provide the kits to upgrade the disk drive system with a USB emulator. Do a search on Pricetronic and you'll find them. You can do a search for USB floppy drive emulator for PR100 or MT100 (I think that is the identical model with a sound module built in). If you are able to retrieve the data and would like the original music books that came along with the disks, please contact me (I will provide my contact details in the packing slip). PLEASE NOTE: THE MUSIC BOOKS PICTURED ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE AND IS JUST FYI. Finally, I made a youtube clip of the unit from the recording of a MIDI sequence from my computer, saving it on the QD disk, then reloading the sequence back from the disk, and then playing it through my Yamaha digital piano from that load. Youtube link: https://youtu.be/8CX-AxPrUbk This listing is sold as-is, but as you can see from the description and youtube clip, it is fully functional. If you have issues when you receive it, please contact me within 24 hours. Video clips are helpful. I can refund the purchase price minus any fees Pricetronic retains and you'd be responsible for the return shipping. Other considerations can be entertained. Thanks for understanding!
