Vintage Roberts 778X (Akai) Tape Recorder.
Integrated reel to reel and 8-trackrecorder/player.
(6) 7” tapes and manysmaller size, and one 8-track unopened commercial cartridge (Helen Reddy’sGreatest Hits).
“High” motor speed is not operative (can operate at 1 7/8 and 3 ¾). Counter does not rotate.
Tape rewind does not work well (slows down and eventually stops before a full rewind of a 7" reel), fast forward and play function work normally. I do not have a mic to confirm that the record function still works properly; it does erase the tape when I try to record over something. I haven’t tried the 8-track for a long time and do not have a cartridge (except the unopened one above) to confirm that it works properly; the last time I used it, it worked normally.
Used it recently for apx. 20hrs transferring content of reel to reel tapes to digital format. It would be easiest for a local pickup; but I can ship if need be. Weight of all contents <50 lbs, size of box would be apx. 24 x 24 x 18. I would only add the actual shipping costs. Feel free to ask questions; I can send additional photos if needed.
