This was mine back in the day. In fact it is from 1966 as my mother, as she always did, dated the manual. Serial number 20973. Model number (from box) YHS 12E Transistorized Battery Operated Tape Recorder.
It is in nice vintage condition, but is NOT
working. Perhaps you are a wiz at fixing these collectables or are just looking for parts. Some of the silver coloring on the "grates" on the front has worn off with age. There is a retractable carrying handle.
Comes with original box that has been beaten up over the years and does have some writing on it. Manual which also has some writing. Microphone (has some small marks) and and single earphone. There is also a carrying case for the last two items. Some of the glue has has loosened up in the interior. The tape recorder had a spot for the batteries. The cover for this spot, has some foam which has begun to deteriorate with age. It also looks like a screw to hold this cover in place is missing. One plastic reel also included.
Just found this memory in a box as we begin to prepare for our move to warmer and less taxed climes. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY. I try to describe everything the best I can, but unit is being sold as is.
