It is a video of one of my converted one tube players. This Kit Will Upgrade Your RCA and other one tube Record Players to 12Volt D.C. Operation. For best results your RP190 record changer should be restored and fully operational prior to completing this upgrade. Soldering is required on the reject on/off switch, speaker, the original volume control, and the original tone control. is required, but some of the connections are done with wire nuts. The Kemo amplifier that comes with this kit does not use an audio output transformer. Some of the RCA record players have them built in. If that’s the case with yours it will have to be bypassed by connecting the Kemo amp to the output terminals of you speaker or purchasing a different speaker like listing# 256483147191 and switching any attachment bars from your old speaker. It includes a potted Solid State Amplifier that replaces all of the Vacuum Tubes, Only the Speaker, Volume Control, Tone Control and one new film capacitor is used in the original amplifier. It has two device’s to obtain the 12 VDC power input to the record player. 1. 120VAC to 12 VDC adapter. 2. 12VDC battery pack which uses 8 AA batteries. These devices both all included in the kit. The power input connection, is located outside of the player which eliminates the possibility of internal damage of the player due to battery leakage. This kit provides Instant On! No more warm up time before you hear the sound. Gone are the Vacuum Tubes that are 70 years old, NOS Vacuum Tubes, or Tubes Made in China or Russia.
