The fine item you are considering is a Rare Antique Little Marvel Toyphone Child’s Hand Crank Toy Record Player. This exceedingly rare, diminutive record player is the Little Marvel by Toyphone. It only stands 16” tall and measures 10" by 10"”side to side and front to back, but in all other aspects is a functional antique record player designed to play tiny 5” records like the five “Little Wonder” records that are included. The record player is working, cranking and playing and you can hear the records. The motor is a little loud while running, but I suspect it was manufactured this way. The unit is in overall good solid shape and makes a great impression, but it does show scuffing/scratching due to age and storage and the material that was used to cover the sound horn section is tattered (see photos). These units are extremely rare, and I was able to find almost no information on them on the internet aside from the two old newspaper advertisements I’ve added to my photos below.
