I do NOT have any tapes to Fully test.. but I did use batteries and all functions appear to operate as they should as I can see the Cassette spindles move - Play, FFWD, RWD, Pause.-- Everything is Functioning 100% as it should.

Requires 2 AA Batteries ( Not Included)
Unit can operate from a wall power plug also but NOT included.
