INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING, SUPPORT & 60-DAY FREE RETURN / REPAIR / EXCHANGE !!** Released in 2001, Korg seriously upgraded their original D16, adding a 'double 0' for good measure, with the amazing D1600! Like the D16, the D1600 features 16 tracks of uncompressed 16‑bit recording (or eight tracks in a high‑resolution 24‑bit mode) with virtual tracks, three‑band EQ, built‑in Insert, Master and Final Effects processors, rhythm patterns, and snapshot mix automation. But to this it adds significantly updated cosmetics and hardware, including an optional built‑in internal CD‑RW drive, as well as incorporating all the software updates which appeared in the D16's software revision. For each of its 16 tracks the D1600 provides 8 virtual tracks, so you can literally use up to 128 tracks (16 x 8 virtual tracks) for each song! These tracks can be used in any way you choose... to try multiple passes at a guitar solo, to capture a variety of vocal performances, etc. Then you can select or even assemble your perfect "take" from these many tracks. By specifying a virtual track as the recording destination when bounce-recording, you can also combine the data of all tracks into 2 tracks without losing any data. You can even create different mixes and select the best one. The D1600 uses advanced technology through a touchscreen interface and stereo recording via unbalanced or balanced inputs, the latter with switchable phantom power. As well as analogue outs, it features a MIDI interface and S/PDIF optical in/out ports for mixing to DAT or Minidisc. The D1600 weighs in at just over 17 lbs and measures 14.3" x 5.4" x 20" wide! Insurance is covered on us!  Paid items  can be picked up in the Denver Metro area at no charge. Condition: This beautiful mixer is in "Very Good" condition with minor signs of use and a bright, crisp display! Aside from a few nicks along the control panel's lower edge, the only thing worth mentioning is a few light scuffs to the cabinet, most too faint to make out well in the pics. All the original knobs and buttons are present & complete and the display is crisp & clear. A NEW AC Cord is included! The Owner's Manual has gone missing but no worries, it can be found online or we will email you a PDF file on request. Please inspect all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition. Service:  When inspected, all features were working but the disc drawer would not open, so it went to our tech for service. This is a common issue with these units, in fact our tech insists on doing this refurb whether or not symptoms have started to appear! The belt was replaced with high-quality neoprene, the laser lens was cleaned and the mechanism lubricated with non-petroleum based lube to assure long life! Also, a ll faders were treated with DeoxIT F5, specifically designed to both clean & lubricate fader controls. It's preventative servicing like this that makes it smart to buy from a company with an experienced, in-house technician. Testing:
This mixer was set up on our test bench and all switches, functions work correctly, with all inputs and outputs confirmed as operational. We were able to navigate through the menus using the touch-screen display and record and playback test tracks. The CD burner opens & closes consistently and plays with no skipping. While further testing was performed, there are a multitude of features on this unit, so we can't test them all.
