On offer are fine
U.S. pressing copies released on the Atco label of
two archival double LPs of outtakes, demos, and home
recordings by the Who's guitarist and principle songwriter, Pete
Townshend. The LPs' selections span Townshend's career up to that point,
from demo recordings dating to the sessions for the Who's debut LP My
Generation to tracks from the '80s. I will describe each individually. The first of these
collections, Scoop , was released in 1983. The gatefold jacket
is in fine condition with a small tear on the spine and a little light wear
elsewhere around the edges (EX+). The discs are clean with some
fingerprints and light staining and scuffing, and they play with some
light surface noise (EX). The record comes with custom inner sleeves (EX-:
light rippling and staining, seams intact). The second collection,
appropriately enough, is called Another Scoop , and was
released four years later (1987). The gatefold jacket has one main
flaw, a cutout notch, along with a 1” crease along the spine on the back
cover and a little light wear around the edges -- EX(-). There is a small
price tag on the front cover. The discs are clean with a little light
scuffing on side 4, and they play with minimal surface noise (M-). This
record also comes with custom inner sleeves (VG+: two seams of each partially
split, small tear at opening of each from the cutout notch in the jacket, light
rippling). I’m helping a friend sell his personal
collection. I have play graded (spot checked) discs. The jackets will be
shipped in plastic sleeves with the discs removed from them. If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
