Nakamichi CR 7A - Discrete 3 Head Cassette Recorder Late Production Model (Year 1987) Includes Manual and Wireless RM7C remote Pictures speak for the condition Gear Drive /Serviced / Calibrated using Nakamichi Alignment Tapes/ Tools All Power Supply Electrolytic Caps were replaced with new Nichikon Caps The buyer has the option to get the RM 7C wireless remote at reasonable cost. Please go through the Feedback on various Nakamichi Cassette recorders that I sold ( many of them CR 7A) If you are keen on brand new unused CR 7A with box/Remote/User Manuals please contact me First - this Recorder is not just working but working correctly as it should ( I keep seeing listing stating as working Deck without any explanation?) The reason for stating the above - It was serviced for correct Supply Voltage for Correct Head alignment - Height/Tilt and Azimuth both for Record and Play All these were done by individual Nakamichi Gauges ( 3 gauges). Then Comes Head Track alignment using Nak Track alignment Tape Next step is setting 400 Hz level on each channel using again another Nakamichi Alignment Tape Play head also needs azimuth alignment using 15 Khz azimuth Tape from Nakamichi again 3 Alignment Tape Not to forget Play Torque Gauge for proper tape pull CR 7A needs complete adjustment using special Electronic tool for Correct Bias for each type of Tape / DA converter adjustment and Azimuth adjust knob alignment. There are close to 25 steps to align this deck to make it work as it should including each tape type record replay response for 400Hz/15 Khz Considering the Digital Multi Meter should have close to 200 Khz response ( not just any DMM) I use 2 Fluke 867B along with VTVM having still higher bandwidth. Using the Play head azimuth, Record head current for each tape type as well as Azimuth / track alignment needed to set it up for Recording alignment. If these were done correctly along with internal Pot adjustment, Autocalibration will result in Precise Response If you had the patience to read these verbiage, you would realize what it means to service Nakamichi Cassette Recorder particularly CR 7A , Dragon or 1000ZXL Since I keep seeing certain Electrolytic Caps failing in CR 7A/5A - I make sure to replace them with new along with other Power Supply Capacitors. So this Deck has preventive measures for Electronic Failures Need I say more? The reasonable Price reflects the amount of effort taken and not just making it as working CR 7A Finally I only offer Deck with new Belts and checking record replay response ( if you wish I can send the AP Analyzer ( Sys II) output with the Deck Finally - it will come with brand new Metal Tape - just calibrated and sample recording as reference to the buyer. Also a printed user manual. Buyer can just plug and test If you like to ask questions, please do without hesitation - you will get a response
