MATADOR RECORDS tee 21st Anniversary T shirt 2010 Liz Phair & Teenage Fanclub This is a previously-owned, adult-large (L), short-sleeved, gray T-shirt with “Matador at 21” printed on the front. It measures approximately 21½ inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 26 inches from back collar to bottom, and is in great shape (American Apparel brand, 100% cotton). Matador was created in 1989 in New York City, starting with acts like H.P. Zinker, the Dustdevils, Railroad Jerk and Superchunk. The label experienced its first big sales with Teenage Fanclub’s debut record, “A Catholic Education,” in 1990. In 1993, Matador released Liz Phair's critically and commercially successful debut album, “Exile in Guyville,” and began a partnership with Atlantic Records which lasted for several years.
