For sale is an incredibly rare OFFICIAL 1998 UK 1st vinyl pressing of Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar from Simply Vinyl. These highly desirable pressings were limited edition in 1998 when limited edition truly meant LIMITED. This album has only been reissued ONCE, also in limited edition in 2013 and available only at Hot Topic. It has been heavily counterfeited, and 99% of the copies you’ll see are pirated…but this is a GUARANTEED GENUINE OFFICIAL FIRST VINYL PRESSING. I find it highly unlikely that this will get reissued again, at least for the foreseeable future. See below for detailed description:

Sleeve: SOLID VG to VG+
Solid gatefold sleeve is a very strong VG with some minor wear along the opening edges mostly. Some light rubbing to the corners. A very small amount of ring wear and a blemish that looks like sticker residue almost. Fully legible spine and no seam splits. I would really say it’s VG+ but I’ll go conservatively and say VG just to be safe. Certainly no major flaws. NICE. See pics!
Discs- Visually:
Disc One: VG/EX Disc Two: EX/EX
Play grade: Solid VG+ to EX
These glossy discs have only one real visual imperfection which is a light superficial scuff along the entirety of Side One. This scuff, however, does NOT affect play and I could hear no issues when playing it. The other three sides of the discs have no issues to speak of with only the faintest superficial hairlines that appear/disappear when tilted under light. Truly a nice copy with basically one visual mark. All in all, a solid VG+, fantastic player.
Play test: This iconic album sounds incredible and I just blasted the entire thing on my Technics SL-D303 using a Nagaoka MP-110, Onkyo receiver and Pioneer floor speakers with JBL bookshelves. Audio is clear and crisp and it’s the best I have ever heard this album sound. There was the odd crackle here and there but very occasional and never affected the music. Obviously no skips, jumps or loud pops.

There is no unwanted writing or marks but the white labels do show some spindle marks.
Original generic inner sleeves have been replaced by Hudson Hi-Fi archival sleeves.
This monster of an album sounds positively fantastic and I am selling this with heavy heart to fund the acquisition of some other records I would like.
