You are viewing a Magnavox Imperial Micromatic record changer player. It has 4 speeds (16/33/45/78 rpm) and can play up to 10 records at a time. It includes a 45 rpm adapter, the original Magnavox 560316-1 crystal stereo cartridge (appears to be EV), and a modified power connector to allow stand alone use, once a power cord is connected. It will also control the Magnavox console with an original power connector, which I don't have. It will need a full clean and lube service before it can be used, which is why it is listed as "not working/for parts". I would also recommend replacing the motor rubber bushings as there is play in the motor mounting, which affects the speed and can cause rumble. The tonearm seems a little stiff also. The good news is that it operates; speed seems correct if the motor is allowed to hang- it you set it on a table without supporting the frame, the motor pushes upward slightly and affects speed. It cycles, determines record size, drops record, and tone arm goes to correct spot on record. Cosmetically is in pretty good condition, considering it was made in 1961 or 1962. A little of the "Magnavox" and "Imperial Micromatic" text is missing (I found it dissolves with alcohol while cleaning it). It even has the dust brush on the tone arm. The bad news is that the cartridge seems to have a dead channel; only one channel has sound. The tonearm wiring is not grounded out. The diamond tip is missing from the stylus on the LP side (but the 78 tip is still there). There are new replacement cartridges available for $25 that include a new stylus. Also included is the mounting board from the original console, which can be used as a template or the top for a custom plinth. Please ask any questions before bidding.
