He took very good care of his collection, and many items (like this one) remained in their boxes though he did take them out of the boxes to look at them every so often. He may have purchased this item secondhand. The box has a few signs of slight wear, such as the flap to open the box, but contents in very good condition. I am not very knowledgeable about model trains, but if you have any questions, please feel free to send a message and I will do my best to answer them. This train car was special to my husband because he was a part-owner of a record store, and was also a big Neil Young fan. He bought two of these, I assume one was for the store and one he wanted to keep. But both were instead stored away in their boxes waiting for the time he could have his own model railroad room.
