NO ADAPTER IS INCLUDED!! And I offer NO refunds of any kind. This auction is for (2) 6 pin din plugs or you can just buy them yourself off of Ebay!! Hey you! Make you very own Tascam Portastudio 424 MKIII MK3 Replacement Power SupplyAdapter PS-P424 MKIII --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First you need a 6 pin din plug that you can solder on yourself. There are many sellers for 6 pin din plugs on Ebay. Pay attention and buy the proper one (there is a small type that you don't want) You will need to buy a 12 volt AC/AC adapter with an amperage rating of at least 1200mA. You may go as high as 3000mA but not lower than 1200mA. You can buy a used Boston Acoustics AC/AC adapter here on Pricetronic for under 20 dollars. Just be sure it is the 12 volt AC/AC variety! You may prefer to buy a new Jameco 12 volt AC/AC adapter for arounf $13.00 If the adapter has a plus (+) or (-) symbol on it, it is an AC/DC adapter and WILL NOT WORK!!! Only AC/AC adapters will power this Tascam. Look closely at the soldering diagrams, only 2 pins need to be soldered. Keep your solders small and strong. Solder can NOT be dripping and touching 2 pins or it will short out. Alternating current doesn't care about pos or neg. So as long as you solder the 2 pins required, you are golden! After you make your solders give them a good tug to be sure they are holding properly. (DO NOT OVERHEAT 6 PIN DIN PLUG WHILE SOLDERING) Pin will swim in it's plastic housing and may NOT work if over heated. Take your time, if you have to resolder a few times to get it right, don't panic. Enjoy the Tascam Power Supply that YOU made! Hello! If you take the time to leave me feedback, I will reciprocate with glowing praise for you. The only reason I wait to do so is to make sure everyone is happy with their purchase. Very rarely I have had disagreeable people attempt to extort me after a purchase and when things go south in this manner I am just glad I haven't accidently rewarded their bad behavior.
