Hitachi Direct Drive Turntable HT-41S with static-off mat - needs

Here is a working Hitachi HT-41S turntable complete with a am kemi a-s static-off mat (Denmark).  Also includes the 45rpm adapter. Also comes with copies of the instruction and service manuals. When I play a record, in a second or so the quartz lock light does light and the record plays fine with the exception noted below. One channel of the Grado FT+ cartridge is open (hums).  I checked the continuity between the ends of the RCA plugs to the back of the cartridge with positive results.  This leads me to believe that there is a problem with the cartridge and not the turntable's wiring or the headshell. As shown in the photos, the top of the dust cover has some scratches but there are no cracks. I'll ship it all within two business days of receiving payment but from time to time I will be away for a few days.  I will then mail it the morning after I return.  Save shipping by picking it up in Suffolk or Ulster, NY counties.
