We on this side of the Atlantic don't see many of the late 60's/early 70's albums in UK or European pressings, which are very often quieter vinyl, and which have subtly better sleeves as well. This is a good example of all these properties--a 1972 pressing of LUMPY GRAVY in a flexible gatefold sleeve with a richer finish and better color saturation. The vinyl is gorgeous and pristine, and the sleeve almost mint, with a bit of ringwear and a wrinkliness at the upper left...so calling it NM-. Oh and do try to hear this record if you possibly can, whether or not you buy this unique copy of the OG edition...this is Zappa getting to do what he really most cared about, a genuine fusion of avant-garde classical music, doo-wop, surreal comedy, and...well...um. see, usually when I list an album, there's no issue with entering the Style and Genre fields--hardly ever does an album range beyond two styles. Just paging through the possible choices on Ebay's menu, I think I've got an accurate listing here in listing nine genres and 29 styles! Hope that alone will get you listening to this unprecedentedly weird wonderful piece. Free shipping!
