Unit plays tapes, but the quality isn't great & it seems to be struggling a little. The heads could probably use a good cleaning. I can't get the DVD tray to open. Hopefully someone who's good with electronics can bring this back to life, as it's a desirable model. It's very clean, & in excellent cosmetic condition. The remote control seems to function without any trouble, as far as I was able to tell.
