This recorder was damaged by use of an incorrect power adapter. The voltage regulator section is blown, at the very least D1, Q6 and IC9. Probably Q8 as well.
It can be persuaded to power on by feeding 3.3V from a bench supply to the power rail, and looks to be functional but no further testing was performed.
I'm not going to do component level repair on this, but it might be a nice practice project for someone who wants to try their hand at SMD soldering. Schematics are readily available.
Case is scratched and scuffed. Missing battery cover & original SD card. See photos.
