It is in excellent condition albeit with minor scuffs, marks as shown. Refer to pics. It has been tested, serviced, calibrated and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. Owners manual and service records from past owner included! A new drive belt was installed. A wooden cabinet that this deck DID NOT originally come with, was added for protection. It is in fairly good shape with some scuff marks nicks and dings. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. Both channels are clear and superb sounding as well. All the functions work and the VU Meters jump like they are supposed to. The sound when recording at 3 3/4 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and better at 7 1/2 IPS. You can use both 7 inch and 10 1/2 inch reels! The heads are also in very good shape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. You may purchase the hub adapters for $85, an empty metal reel for $35, or a QUANTEGY 3600 FT metal reel of tape for $100! For those who think the price might be a little too high, there is a saying I live by that goes “You Get What You Pay For”! Here, you are getting a deck that actually is cleaned, adjusted, rigorously tested, and ready to use out of the box.  I am putting this out there in light of a bunch of people who add this to their watchlist or their shopping cart, but ultimately do not make the purchase (some do this to try to pressure me into reducing the price), or are just here to troll my listings. If you’re looking for a deck that is ready to use and we’ll get any tape transfers or whatever recording job that you may have done, then you’ve come to the right place! Rather than get into long-winded descriptions, I’m going to try to keep this short and straight to the point. The shipping is $125 which also includes packing and insurance which protect myself, and the buyer in case something happens to the item in transit. The buyer agrees to accept This is proof that the deck left here both working and packed properly.  If a buyer suspects a problem with their unit, THEY MUST be willing to take it to a local repair shop or have it sent to one for repairs. I will Gladly cover the cost of the repairs. Due to the vintage nature of decades-old electronics, I CANNOT offer any kind of warranty. Unfortunately, several of them have arrived in worse condition than they originally left here in (e.g. buyer did not pack the deck properly, or the deck was misused or tampered with) so accepting returns has become much too risky.
