Ampex AG600-2 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder w/portable case TESTED WORKS NEEDS BELT
The unit is tested to power on.
The motor starts on power on.
Capstan does not rotate (melted belts?), hence playback and record are not tested.
Rewind works.
FF works but stuck sometimes.
VU meter lamps and VU meter needles work.
Magnetic heads are in great shape, the unit does not seem to have seen much workload (was used for educational purposes).
Overall good cosmetic condition with some rust here and there due to storage conditions.
The case might use some cleaning. One of the corners needs the rubber bumper reattached (bumper is included).
There is rubber (reel holding?) cup on the right spindle.
Back of the case has two covers, one (where the AC lead comes out from) cover is missing.
Sold AS-IS due to age and weight. No returns accepted.
